Terms of Service
The
agreement.
These terms govern your use of Recomp. They are written to be read, not skimmed. If anything is unclear, write to us before agreeing.
Acceptance
By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using Recomp, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
What Recomp is
Recomp is a private-beta SaaS that helps athletes track body recomposition: nutrition, training, recovery, and AI-assisted coaching built around that history. Recomp is a software tool. It is not a medical device and any guidance it produces is informational, not medical advice.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and provide a valid email address. By using Recomp you confirm you meet these requirements.
Account
One account per person. You agree to provide accurate information at sign-up, keep your password secure, and not share access. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
Notify us promptly at legal@recomp.placeholder if you suspect unauthorized use.
Acceptable use
You agree not to: scrape or bulk-download data; reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code or models; abuse or harass other users or staff; impersonate any person or entity; use the service for unlawful purposes; or attempt to circumvent rate limits, paywalls, or access controls.
Health disclaimer
Recomp is not a healthcare provider. The AI coach generates suggestions based on the data you provide; it does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition. Before changing your diet, training, supplementation, or medication, consult a qualified professional — particularly if you are pregnant, have a chronic condition, or are recovering from injury or surgery.
Whoop integration
If you connect your Whoop account, you authorize Recomp to read your Whoop biometric data (HRV, sleep, recovery, strain) for as long as the OAuth grant is active. You may revoke access at any time from Settings → Integrations, or directly in your Whoop account. Revocation stops new data imports immediately; previously imported data remains in your Recomp account until you delete it.
Subscription and billing
The private beta is free. Paid tiers will be introduced as the service exits beta. We will give you advance notice by email before any tier becomes paid or before any charge is made against an account you control. You can cancel anytime; cancellations take effect at the end of the then-current billing period.
Termination
You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account, or by writing to legal@recomp.placeholder. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, abuse the service, or place undue load on infrastructure. Where reasonable, we will give notice before terminating.
Limitation of liability
Recomp is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including loss of data, lost profits, or training/health outcomes attributable to your use of the service.
Our total aggregate liability arising from or related to your use of Recomp will not exceed the total fees you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim — which, during the free beta, is zero.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Specific state and jurisdiction will be designated before public launch. (Placeholder: United States, jurisdiction TBD.)
